Learn About Hemp
What is Hemp oil?
Cannabidoil (CBD) is a 100% plant-based phytocannabinoid. It is one of 113 identified cannabinoids that occur naturally in hemp plants, cannabis sativa. The phytochemical compounds are collectively called cannabinoids. Unlike cannabis oil, which comes from the plant cannabis indica and cannabis sativa, the hemp plant, produces CBD oil which has NO psychoactive properties and is legal in 47 states (not in Idaho, Nebraska, or South Dakota as of creating this page).
Where and how is Hemp Grown and Produced? (What Makes Hempster Brand different?)
Hemp is grown worldwide and is one of the largest bio-accumulators in the plant kingdom. It is capable of absorbing both the good and the bad from the air, water and the soil. This means many factors affect the growth, harvesting and production of a high quality product. Hemp oil is produced by extracting the oil from the hemp plant. Where and how it is grown and extracted is vital to producing the finest quality oil.
How do you know you are buying the best possible Hemp product?
You must know where and how it is grown, harvested, and produced. To insure our product is the very best, Hempster Brand oil is dried using a proprietary "Fresh Lock Drying method" and CO2 extraction to insure quality, purity, and potency. This method uses carbon dioxide (CO2) under high pressure and extremely low temperatures (-70 degrees) to pull out as much CBD as possible without introducing contaminants. Cheaper and easier chemical extraction processes can leave residue from toxic solvents like butane, propane, and ethanol in the oil.
Benefits of CO2 Extraction:
- Ensures high quality
- Uses no harsh solvents/chemicals
- Free of butane, propane, and ethanol
- It’s a standard solvent widely used for foods and dietary supplements

PAIN RELIEF: One of the most celebrated health benefits of Hemp oil is its ability to provide analgesic (pain relieving) effects. CBD may ease inflammation, provide antioxidants, and relieve pain by activating various receptors in the human body’s Endocannabinoid system that occurs naturally. Studies have shown that CBD has reduced inflammation and alleviated pain from conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, peripheral neuropathy, and multiple sclerosis with little or no side effects.
Could help with insomnia without any narcotic, hypnotic or hallucinogenic drugs
CBD oil may be used to treat epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease.
May relieve symptoms from ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND PANIC ATTACKS.
May help prevent the GROWTH OF CANCER CELLS
May reduce the risk of DIABETES
How does CBD oil work in the human body?
All cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the body by attaching to certain receptors. The human body naturally produces two receptors for cannabinoids, called the CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are primarily in the brain, central and peripheral nervous system. The CB1 receptors deal with coordination, movement, pain, emotions, mood, thinking, appetite, memory, and other functions. CB2 receptors are located in the muscle, skeletal, and immune system. They affect inflammation and pain. CBD attaches to these receptors making them stronger and causing them to multiply faster. Because these receptors are integral to many bodily functions, the list of CBD oil health benefits is extensive.
What is the certificate of analysis (CoA) and why is it important?
Without a lab report, a label can say anything. Hempster Brand provides a COA, or Certificate Of Analysis, for every batch we sell. We also provide the batch number on every bottle. This is proof that a third party lab has tested all of our products and that the products meet the criteria listed below.
Potency: Look for “total cannabinoids" or "total CBD" on the COA. Potency tells you the level of cannabinoids in the product. If the product is claiming 750 mg of CBD, then this should match what it says on the Certificate of Analysis.
Contaminants or pesticides: Batch testing results make sure there are no issues of contaminants, pesticides, toxins, or heavy metals.
Microbiological testing: This ensures there is no mold or bacteria in the hemp that was used to make your CBD product.
Safety: Hempster Brand CBD oil is processed in a FDA registered and inspected food grade facility, using cGMP (Certified Good Manufacturing Practice) and verified through a third-party laboratory with the batch number for each case.
How do you use CBD oil and How Do you know the correct amount to use?
Everyone is different but here are some basic guidelines. With cap on, shake product well. Following the dosage guidelines below, place drops from the dropper under your tongue (sublingual method) twice a day, morning and night. Hold under your tongue for best absorption. Wait 10 minutes before you eat or drink. Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. It is very important that you use your correct dosage twice daily so that your body can optimize it's endocannabinoid system to it's fullest.
This is what our research has shown is the optimal adult dosage: Start with 1/4 dropper (.25 ml.) twice daily for the first 3 to 5 days, then increase to 1/2 dropper (.5 ml.) and adjust according to how your body is responding. 1/2 (.5 ml.) dropper twice daily is the dosage we find has the best effect. Severe symptoms may need more. We have customers who range from 10 drops twice daily to 3/4 of a dropper 3 times a day. We have notice no adverse side effects based on quantity taken.
